You can understand why you feel the way you do and still have no idea how to change it.

Maybe you overthink every interaction. You feel deeply, get stuck in relationship patterns you promised yourself you wouldn't repeat, or find yourself constantly questioning whether you're asking for too much, or settling for too little.

Maybe your relationship has reached a point where the same conversations keep becoming the same arguments. Or maybe, from the outside, your life looks fine, but internally you feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply stuck.

Let’s create meaningful change together.

Hi, I'm Laura.

Laura E. Hunt, MA, LMHC, LPC

I'm a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and a licensed professional counselor in Colorado. I work with adults and couples navigating relationships, attachment, anxiety, emotional regulation, and major life transitions.

My style is warm, curious, collaborative, and direct. I won't just sit quietly while you try to figure everything out on your own. We'll look for patterns, make connections, talk honestly about what's working and what isn't, and figure out what meaningful change looks like for you.

I believe some of the most important work in therapy happens when we begin understanding not only what we do, but why we learned to do it in the first place.

How I Help

Relationships & Attachment
Understand anxious attachment, relationship anxiety, boundaries, fear of abandonment, and the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships.

Anxiety & Trauma
Work through anxiety, overthinking, depression, difficult life experiences, and patterns that leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck.

Emotional Regulation & BPD
Develop a better understanding of intense emotions, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, impulsivity, and patterns that can make life and relationships feel unstable.

Couples Therapy
Understand the cycle you and your partner have become caught in, improve communication, rebuild connection, and address conflict, trust, intimacy, or uncertainty about your relationship.

Therapy That Goes Deeper Than “Just Cope With It”

Therapy should give you a place to feel understood, but it should also help you understand yourself.

My approach is active, collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. We'll look at the patterns underneath what you're experiencing, make sense of how they developed, and work toward meaningful change in your relationships, emotional life, and day-to-day choices.

I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. Our work is shaped around who you are, what you've experienced, and what you actually want your life and relationships to look like.
